Hermsen selected for Eastern League All-Star Game

Former West Delaware prep B.J. Hermsen has been selected to participate in the Double-A Eastern League All-Star Game. The game is Wednesday night at Reading, Pa.
Hermsen is 5-4 with a 3.27 earned run average in 12 starts for the New Britain Rock Cats. He threw seven innings in his last start last week against Trenton without allowing an earned run.
Hermsen, 22, was a sixth-round draft pick of the
Minnesota Twins in the 2008 draft. He began this season with high-A Fort Myers before receiving a promotion.
