Memorial for former professor Ponseti set May 1 in Iowa City
A celebration of life has been scheduled for Helena Percas-Ponseti from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at the Levitt Center for University Advancement (Fourth Level), One West Park Road in Iowa City.
Professor Helena Percas de Ponseti passed away Jan. 1, 2011, following a stroke. In addition to her long and distinguished career at Grinnell College, she was the wife of Ignacio Vives Ponseti, professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Iowa. The Ponsetis had been married 48 years prior to Dr. Ponseti's death October 18, 2009.
All who knew and loved the Ponsetis are invited to attend.
