Wayne A. Bryant, 81, died Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dean Duncan presiding.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hrabak Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Wayne was born June 18, 1933, on a farm near Van Horne, to Nero and Mary Knoke Bryant. He graduated from high school and in December 1952, married Mary Janice Kelly. Most of his life he worked as a machinist and was a toolmaker at Benco Manufacturing. He retired in June 1995.
Wayne is survived by sons, David of Cedar Rapids, Richard (Muriel) of LeGrand and Maury (Lori) and Jeff, both of Belle Plaine; brothers, Don and Dallas (Jackie), both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Dorothy (Roy) Ridenour of Burbank, Calif..; five grandchildren, Devin, Deanna, Chase, Thom (Katie) and Denver; and one great-grandchild, Aislin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1985 and a brother, Robert.
