Keith Barrett Smith, 61, of Marion, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday Cedar Memorial Park Family Center. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; and three brothers, David (Mary Jo) of Yuma, Ariz., Tracy (Linda) of Middletown, R.I., and Craig (Cindy) of Westminster, Colo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kevin.
Keith was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Des Moines, the son of Randall and Beverly Westerly Smith. He graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1973. Keith married Ann B. Bever on June 27, 1992, in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Rockwell Collins and retired from there after more than 25 years of service.
Keith's favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed watching them on TV. He was an avid pool player and competed in many pool tournaments, including the state tournament in Des Moines. Keith was a wonderful husband, brother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
