Conservatives today would call Jesus a socialist

Regarding Glenn E. Chatfield's Oct. 24 letter “Jesus would reject current liberal stances”:
Sorry, but Jesus' teachings were a lot closer to liberal ideals than conservative ones. In fact, if he were alive today, most conservatives would probably call him a socialist.
