Letter: Reestablish properly balanced journalism

There was a time when journalists and journalism would separate personal bias from truth, facts and reality. But The Cedar Rapids Gazette obviously dropped this concept a long time ago to pursue a more liberal agenda in order to increase and influence their left-wing readership.
Why does The Gazette continually disparage President Donald Trump and the Republicans with the steady stream of anti-Trump/GOP political cartoons and carefully selected liberal letters to the editor? Why don't the owners/editors of The Gazette recognize that it was the people of mid America, Democrat and Republican, between the ultra-liberal enclaves of New York and California who elected Trump as our president and Republican majorities to both houses of Congress to check the big government liberal trend towards socialism. This is led by left leaning Democrats and pretend-journalists of the media who deliberately ignore facts and promote 'fake news” to the detriment of all Americans and all of which has been or is being proven unfounded.
It would be nice if we could have a fair and balanced newspaper in the corridor. Somehow, we need to reestablish our properly balanced journalism standards and ethics.
