Betty L. Feddersen Connolly passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Anamosa Care Center in Anamosa.
Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stanwood Cemetery.
Betty Louise was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Cedar County, Iowa, to Clarence and Emma (Meyers) Ogden. She attended Olin Community Schools. In September 1972, she was united in marriage to Donald Connolly in Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1976. For many years, she worked at Wabash in Tipton.
She was a member of Olin Community Methodist Church and Clarence Legion Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed playing cards, bingo, baking, cooking and fishing. She loved traveling with her friends and family, enjoying their company while going out to eat or at the casino. In her earlier years, she liked to go dancing, and tending her flower gardens.
Those left to cherish her memories are her five children, Dennis Feddersen of Clarence, Marcia Feddersen of Marion, Mary Kay Appleby of Oxford Junction, Allen Feddersen of Olin and Susan (Chuck) Debner of Anamosa; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; special friend, Donna Feddersen; two brothers, William Ogden of Tipton and Larry (Mary Jo) Ogden of North Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Donald Feddersen and Donald Connolly; a daughter Jennifer; three brothers, Richard, Donald and David Ogden; a sister, Shirley Meyer; and a granddaughter, Cindy Hagen.
A memorial fund has been set up in her honor and may be directed to Susan Debner, 304 E. Third St., Anamosa, IA 52202.
