Betty Beatrice Woodward, 88, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Bickford Cottage in Marion. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Betty was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Prairieburg, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Gertrude Holub. She attended St. Joseph's School in Prairieburg. On June 10, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Woodward. She was employed by Rockwell Collins and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
She is survived by her daughter, Julee (Kevin) Taylor; son, Michael (Sharon) Woodward; brother, Kenneth (Cheryl) Holub; grandsons, Joshua (Amber) Taylor and Jared Taylor (fiancee, Libby Slaton); granddaughter, Jennifer Woodward; great-grandchildren, Adam and Katilyn Holderfield, Colton and Case and Cash Taylor.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Kathy; grandson, Michael Woodward; and siblings, Maxine Stickney, Adeline Doyle and Earl Holub.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff of Bickford Cottage and Care Initiatives Hospice.
