Eduardo G. Montalvo, 73, of Iowa City and formerly of West Liberty, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Mercy Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with the Very Rev. Rudolph Juarez officiating. The family will greet friends after 2 p.m.
Eduardo was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Mexico. For many years he was employed at Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing and the music of Elvis Presley.
Survivors include his wife, Esperanza (Reyes), and their three children, Esmeralda Montalvo and Eric (Jessica) Montalvo, both of Iowa City, and Nelly (John) Cardenas of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; six siblings; and numerous extended family and friends.
