Havlicek, Jaxon Robert
Jaxon Robert Havlicek son of Jason and Nicole was born Aug. 24, 2012, at St. Luke's Birth Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jaxon was transferred to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital on Sept. 24, 2012, where he passed away Dec. 1, 2012.
Jaxon was a happy baby and strong little fighter who showed family and everyone who got to know him a lot of love.
Our LilPacker impacted everyone's life, including the medical staff and all the people who showed support for him on his Care Page. Even though he was here for just a short time, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and we will miss running our fingers through his hair.
Jaxon is survived by his loving parents; grandparents, Robert and Debra Havlicek and Don and Debra Stepanek; aunts and uncles, Ashley Havlicek, Melissa (Stepanek) and Jonathan Greiner; great-grandparents, John and Joyce Havlicek, Maryjane Jones and Ruth Birkicht; as well as many other great-aunts and uncles, cousins and special friends.
Jaxon was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, William and June Jones, Richard and Wilma Lynch and Roy and Betty Stepanek.
Special thanks to the NICU teams and medical staff from St. Luke's and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Words cannot express our appreciation for the care given to Jaxon while he was with us. Everyone who cared for Jaxon will have a special place in our hearts forever.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at St. Mark's Faith and Life Center with Pastor Perry Fruhling officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church following the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Please leave a message or tribute to the family on the website, under Obituaries.
