Judith "Judy" (Henry) Greiner, 75, of Marion, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, surrounded by her family. Parish Vigil: 4 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the funeral home. Rosary: 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. The family also will greet friends one hour before Mass at the church on Monday. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, Alburnett.
Judy is survived by her husband, Dudley Greiner Sr.; children, LeeAnn (James) Greiner-Majesky, Dudley (Angie) Greiner Jr. and James Greiner; grandchildren, Shawn, Jamie, Michelle, Sheldon, Thomas, Matthew and Kayley; and siblings, Roy, Eugene, Dale, Gerome and Pamela.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby; and sister-in-law, Darlene.
Judy was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Round Prairie, Minn., the daughter of John and Hildagard (Klein) Henry. She graduated from St. Mary's High School and on Dec. 5, 1964, she married Dudley Duane Greiner at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Judy worked at E&F Ceramic Store and then was head cook at Linn-Mar High School until she retired. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Judy enjoyed crocheting, hummingbirds and flowers. She loved to cook and bake, especially pumpkin bread. She also enjoyed spending time with Milo the dog. Judy loved her family and was very protective of each of them.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
