Pearson, Paula 'Polly' M.

Paula “Polly” M. Pearson, 63, of Marion, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion. Services: 4 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, 1050 McGowan Blvd., Marion. Private family inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.

Survivors include three siblings, David (Ruthie) Pearson of Marion, Robert (Judy) Pearson of Cedar Rapids and Jo (Gary) Hunerdosse of Cedar Rapids; eight nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Polly was born Aug. 28, 1946, the daughter of Kenneth and Marie (Koch) Pearson, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1964, Central College in 1971 and Marycrest in 1977. Polly taught in Saguache, Colo., for two years, then at Alburnett Community School District for 32 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of Friends of the Marion Library.
