Vera M. Oxley, of Chicago, passed away on her 95th birthday, April 2, 2018. A graveside service will be held on April 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the Forest Lawn garden.
Vera was born on April 2, 1923, the daughter of Verto and Helen (Cate) Reichert. Vera was an avid reader her entire life and was a huge fan of Agatha Christie novels. She was quite happy surrounded by her lifelong partner, Henry "Ski" Maleski and her beloved cats, especially Rocky. She attended Mount Mercy College and loved traveling to Seattle and the Canadian Rockies.
Left to cherish Vera's memories are her daughter, Janice DiDominick; and Janice's daughters, Allison and Lauren DiDominick; Vera's sisters, Muriel Iverson and Helen Lambin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Finally, Vera's memories will forever be treasured by her devoted partner, "Ski" Maleski.
A special thanks to the entire staff at Wesley Place Nursing Home in Chicago and Unity Hospice Care of Chicago for taking care of Vera.
