Editor's Note: The initial version of this story included the victim's name after it had been confirmed by a reporter on scene. However, nearly an hour later the Linn County Sheriff's Office sent out an official release stating that the victim's name would be withheld until family was notified. It was an error on this editor's behalf to include the name in the original post, and the name was removed immediately following the release from the Sheriff's Dept. Sincere apologies for this error and any confusion, concern or harm it may have caused.
