ALBERTA "BERTIE" PEARL MINOR

Alberta "Bertie" Pearl Minor, 98, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Mercy Hallmar.
Bertie was born in January 1918 to parents Albert and Pearl (McClintock) Railsback. One of five children, she grew up in the countryside of Linn County. In 1935, she graduated from Palo High School. After high school, she married the love of her life, Eldon Minor, in Marion. They had three children. A proud homemaker, she spent her life raising her children as well as helping in her community.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her four sisters, Ora Volz, Aletha Stodola, Esther Railsback and Irene Mathis; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Minor.
She is survived by her children, Jane (Dave) Henecke, George Minor and Dick (Pat) Minor; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be at Palo Cemetery immediately following.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hallmar, Mercy Hospice and Rockridge Assisted Living for their care and friendship.
Memorial donations may be made out to the family to be disbursed later.
