Erbes, E. Delores
E. Dolores Erbes, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Manor Care. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Brenda S. Ehret of the Unity Center. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Dolores is survived by a son, John and his wife, Kimberly of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Denise Healy and her husband, Paul of Bella Vista, Ark.; grandchildren, Dustin and Benjamin Lawrence and Melissa and Michael Erbes; great-grandchildren, Taryn, Dorian, Harper and Landon Erbes, and Walker and Delaney Lawrence; and her beloved cat, Idgit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John.
Dolores was born Sept. 16, 1925, in LaGrande, Ore., to Charles and Lillie Bullock. She married John Leonard Erbes on Jan. 14, 1947 in Ames. He died in January 2000.
Dolores spent over 40 years in the banking industry in Idaho, West Branch, Independence, and finally in Central City, until retirement. After retirement, she and John spent many years in Harlingen, Texas, where they enjoyed golfing, bowling, socializing and warm weather.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
