Kurtz, H. Wayne
H. Wayne Kurtz of Highland Ridge in Williamsburg, Iowa, passed into a new life on Monday, July 4, 2011.
Wayne was born September 1, 1917, to Homer and Beulah (Korf) Kurtz, near Keota, Iowa, where he later farmed. On January 30, 1940, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Wade at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They had recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. He was a former member of the Scotland Presbyterian Church, South English. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and farming.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Williamsburg; two daughters, Susanne (Doug) Wolrab of Cedar Rapids and Katherine (Ted) Rogers of Center Point; two grandsons, Kelly and Joel Rogers; and two great-granddaughters, Brexlyn and Joah Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John Robert Kurtz.
