Letter: Stand together and fight back

The issues we care most about are under attack. We need to stand together and fight back.
We are seeing reports that Iowa's Republicans in control want to:
' Deregulate to pave the way for more factory farms and make us pay to clean up big ag's clean water crisis.
' Launch big-monied attacks on workers and wages, our environment, our voting rights and more.
' Slash funding for education, mental health, roads and infrastructure just so they can cut taxes for big business.
Folks across Iowa may have wanted change this election, but what we're seeing from Donald Trump and his crony-capitalist appointments down to what the GOP is planning in Iowa amounts to the worst of big money, business-as-usual politics.
They have their agenda, but we have ours, too. I plan on showing up strong this legislative session to put people before profits, politics and polluters and our communities before corporations.
If you want to join us, call Iowa CCI Action at (515) 282-0484. Together we can fight for the Iowa we need and want to see.
