LOIS ROSE VOSS

Lois Rose Voss, 88, of Walker, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Center Point, with visitation one hour before. Pastor David L. Hansen will be officiating. Burial: Walker Cemetery.
Lois was born July 27, 1929, in Crawford County, Iowa, the daughter of August and Rose (Hinrichsen) Schultz. She married Leonard Voss on Sept. 7, 1947. Lois worked at Moore's Locker in Walker while raising her family. She enjoyed walking, bingo, word finds, playing cards, baking and family. Family and friends remember her homemade goods including, cinnamon rolls, cornflake candy, and a favorite, "grandma's pancakes."
Lois is survived by her children, Arlyn (Bonnie) Voss of Odenville, Ala., Richard Voss of Walker, Eileen (Chuck) Gruenwald of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Russell (Teresa) Voss of Tipton, Terry (Sharyl) Voss of Walker, Janet Collingwood (Robert Miller) of Vinton, Brian (Annette) Voss of Weatherford, Texas, and Mark (Lynette) Voss of Walker; sister, Karen Weiss of Dunlap; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jean Schultz of Ida Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; and brother, James Schultz.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Hiawatha Care Center for the excellent care and compassion given to Lois.
