Swick, Judy Marie Grant
Judy Marie Grant Swick, 52, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha, conducted by Father Mark Ressler. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Judy was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on July 3, 1960, the daughter of Lawrence and Irene (Molinoski) Siekerka. She went to public school and graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School in 1978 and later from Hamilton Business College. Judy married Dan Grant in 1981 and 12 years later they divorced. She then married Jeff Swick and they later divorced. She worked for Kmart and Sam's Club.
Judy was one who loved life. She enjoyed watching her children's activities, picnics, bingo, and being with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence; and five brothers, Donnie, Daniel, Terry, Robert and David.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Siekerka of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Danielle (Matt) Lalley, Kelsey Grant and Brittany Swick, all of Cedar Rapids; a son, Ryan (Andrea) Grant of Ottumwa; one granddaughter, Rylee Grant; an expected grandson, Jameson Lalley; brothers, Richard (Jean) Siekerka of Broomfield, Colo., Tom (Terri) McCraney of Wayne, Neb., Ron Par of Waterloo and Kevin (Sara) Keeling of Bettendorf; and a sister, Diane Siekera of Cedar Rapids.
