Perlenfein, Beverly Jean Raddatz Moser
Beverly Jean Raddatz Moser Perlenfein, 73, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, from a sudden illness at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde; daughters, Kim (Bob) Zimmerman of Anamosa, and Karry (Larry) Hauser of Lake View; a son, Kenneth (Maribel) Moser of Lithia, Fla.; three granddaughters, Shannon Moser and Abby and Ashly Hauser; a sister, Barbara (Bob) Dunkelman of Pittsburgh, Pa.; niece, Melissa (Tony) Udekwu, of Lewisburg, Pa.; stepdaughters, Karen (Mark) Eifler of Portland, Ore., Kristi (Craig) Debevoise of Austin, Texas, and Katy (Tim) Munroe of Concord, Calif.; a stepsister, Ramona (Russ) McClatchey of Hedgesville, W.V.; and six stepgrandchildren.
Beverly was born June 17, 1938, in Chicago, the daughter of Herman and Bernice (Bennewitz) Raddatz. She graduated from Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids, and attended the University of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She married John (Jack) Moser on June 14, 1958. He passed away April 25, 1999. She married Clyde Perlenfein on May 16, 2004.
Beverly worked at Cornell College from 1971, until her retirement in 2004, serving as Alumni Program Coordinator.
She is a member of the Malta Chapter OES and did volunteer work at St. Luke's Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, traveling and playing cards.
