' The unveiling of a $6.7 million master plan to transform Cedar Rapids' ‘Mount Trashmore' into a recreation area has some asking whether it's time to change the name of the closed landfill to something more appealing. Would you change the name? If so, what would you call it?

The name Mount Trashmore will signify the reuse of landfill as recreation site better than any other name.

FROM FACEBOOOK
Mary W.: No, Keep it as Mount Trashmore - let people ask about the history.
Mary S.: Keep the current name. That will constantly remind people of what can be created from trash. Plus that's the name everyone will use regardless of what you officially call it.
Lance W.: I say keep it. It lends to the history of the land, it shows we can rebuild from tragedy (with all of the flood refuse buried there), and it shows our sense of humor.
Ken E.: Mount Corbett.
Nicky B.: Cedar Peaks.
Mikey F.: The Money Pit!
Wes F.: Devastation Mound.
