Center Point
Janice K. Dales, 78, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, Iowa.
Janice was born Nov. 17, 1940, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of Roy and Marguerite (Moore) Hagerman. Janice graduated from Marion High School. She married Jon Dales on Oct. 22, 1971, in Toddville, Iowa. In her younger years, Janice was active in modeling. She was an Avon lady for more than 25 years. Janice gave the best hugs and she had a heart of gold. She was a loving, caring soul who loved to spoil her siblings, children and grandchildren. Janice loved all animals, especially her cockatoo, Aries. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat, especially with Carol, Debbie and special friends, Linda Ryan and Kathy Kramer.
Survivors include her husband, Jon of Center Point; son, Bradford Kysilka of Lawrenceville, Ga.; sisters, Carol (Bob) Camenisch of Marion, Iowa, Debbie (Henry) Hoppe of Hiawatha, Iowa, and Lonnie Hagerman of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Nicki (Gary) Purdy of Mount Auburn, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marguerite; first husband, Ronald Kysilka; and brother, Gerald Hagerman.
