Sheri Rahe Chapman, 35, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at home following a sudden illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial
services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A private family inurnment will be held in the spring.
Sheri is survived by her five children, Alexus, Emma, Jack, Johny and Cole, all of Cedar Rapids; parents, Steven (Cathy) Chapman of Des Moines and Kathy Rahe Chapman of Fairfax; sister, Shannon Chapman; a brother, Sean Chapman; and a nephew, Gabe Chapman, all of Cedar Rapids; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dutch and Billie Rahe and Dib and Dorothy Chapman.
Sheri Rahe Chapman was born Aug. 29, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Steven Chapman and Kathy Rahe Chapman. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking and spending time at her favorite place, Okoboji Lake. Sheri's greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
