In Mueller’s wake, thinking beyond party is needed

The Insights page cartoon on Wednesday, April 24, seemed to suggest the Mueller Report was just ho-hum fake news. This is disingenuous. The Gazette editorial page editor needs to reject partisan memes and realize we are all best served when we think beyond party politics and consider real threats to our democracy.
If your only relation to the Mueller Report is from others, you are cheating yourself of an opportunity to see first hand a thorough investigation into a real threat to our national security. If you accept media celebrities as your source of information, you are being duped by fake news. The real news is printed out page after page in the Mueller Report.
What I have read in the actual Mueller Report concerns me deeply. What I have read is a detailed account of those who wish to prevent us from knowing we are a nation under siege by interests that pretend patriotism while destroying the fundamental principles our founders put forth in the Constitution.
