To the editor:
There is no 'I” in Iowa. The only letter in the alphabet that the Hawkeye men's basketball team knows is 'T” for team.
They unselfishly share the ball, with a high rate of assists in their games. No one tries to take over and be the star. Their goal is winning as a team. Players always speak about themselves in a humble manner when they are interviewed after the games. They never focus on themselves. Instead, they mention their teammates who helped them to become the leading scorer or be the player with the most energy and hustle.
I applaud the Hawkeyes on their many wins this year. It has been fun to watch them improve. Their dedication, hard work and athletic ability is paying off. I admire the respect and closeness they display for each other as a team. They care for each other as they strive for success.
Good luck in the upcoming tournaments. Thanks for showing us the importance of teamwork and how important it is when playing the game!
