Howard B. Frimml, 95, of Marengo, passed away peacefully at Marengo Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Marengo. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
Howard is survived by two sons, Dennis (Debra Strasser) of South Amana and Steven of Nampa, Idaho; a daughter, Cynthia Schmidt of Ankeny; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Corey) Roberts of Williamsburg, Amber (Jason) Augustine of Ankeny, Richard Frimml of Caldwell, Idaho, Erica (Brian) VanThournout of Hartwick and Branden (Rachelle) Strasser of Williamsburg; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eva Beckler Frimml; his wife, Phyllis Hunzelman Frimml, in 2004; three brothers, George, Lawrence and Martin; a sister, Marcella Kimm; and a grandson, Shon Houdek.
