Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in a case involving a taxi driver.
The 21-year-old from St. Louis was originally charged with assault causing bodily injury after he allegedly punched the driver on Jan. 19, 2009, when the cabbie honked at him.
Online court records show Clayborn on Wednesday pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The simple misdemeanor is described in court records as fighting or violent behavior. He was fined $100. The assault charge was dismissed.
A telephone call on Friday to Clayborn's attorney, Matthew Petrzelka, wasn't immediately returned.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz didn't discipline Clayborn after his arrest.
