Aloha C. Franklin, 91, of Marion, passed away April 28, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
She was born in Antiago, Wis., on July 11, 1925, to Fred and Fran (Fosterling) Rusch.
Aloha was united in marriage to X.L. (Frank) Franklin on Aug. 30, 1946, in Seattle, Wash. She was employed by Linn-Mar Community Schools for 20 years. Aloha was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. She also was an organ donor.
Survivors include two daughters, Barb (Jerry) of Port Angeles, Wash., and Donna (Mike) Anderson of Elkader; three grandchildren, Matt (Heather) Anderson, Darcy (Jeff Bates) and Bill (Jennifer) Heil; two great- grandchildren, DeAnna and Danielle; and one sister, Elgin Strobel.
Aloha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and one brother.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. Pastor Dennis Johnson will officiate. Inurnment: 4 p.m. Tuesday at East Side Cemetery, Elkader.
