Larry Phillips, 66, passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha on Sept. 23, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, Sept. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Hiawatha. Arrangements for Larry have been made through Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Larry is survived by his two sons, Doug and Bryan Phillips; two grand-children, Jennifer and Noah; and his dad, Doyle Phillips of Fort Worth, Texas.
Larry was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Feb. 4, 1948. He moved to Iowa in the 1960s, and was a graduate of Linn-Mar High School, Marion.
Larry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
Larry had a great love for life, but most of all he loved his family and the game of golf.
