Cold shooting in overtime dooms Iowa State women at Texas Tech

Iowa State rallied to force overtime, but couldn't finish the comeback Sunday, falling to Texas Tech, 69-66, in Lubbock, Texas.
Trailing by 11 points in the fourth quarter, Iowa State (11-5, 3-2 Big 12) went on a 14-4 run ignited by a Nicole Blaskowsky 3-pointer.
Freshman Bridget Carleton had a layup with 23 seconds left to put ISU ahead, 61-59.
Then Texas Tech's Dayo Olabode hit a pair of free throws with nine seconds left to tie the game and send it into overtime.
In the overtime, the Cyclone offense went cold, and did not score in the final 2 minutes, 45 seconds.
Seanna Johnson finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, her 12th double-double of the season and 25th of her career. Carleton had 16 points and Jadda Buckley added 10 points for ISU. Ivonne Cook-Taylor led Texas Tech (10-7, 1-5) with 21 points.

he Panthers rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half Sunday in Cedar Falls.
Northern Iowa (10-7, 5-1 MVC) trailed at half, 26-20, but took the lead with an 8-0 run in the third quarter, capped by a 3-pointer from Mikaela Morgan.
The Panthers won the rebounding battle 44-37, and only allowed Indiana State (6-10, 2-3) to score one second-chance point.
Madison Weekly had 14 points and eight rebounds to pace UNI. Amber Sorenson had 13 points, and Jen Keitel had nine points and 12 rebounds.
