DIANE "DEE DEE" HIMMELSBACH

Diane "Dee Dee" Allyn Himmelsbach of Urbana, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hia-watha. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Gilligan's Pub, 912 First Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Garret (Jonie) Thompson, and her daughter, Kim Fifield, both of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Cathy Hansel of Urbana; many nieces and nephews; and her feline friends, Jake and Mav, who made her smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her special friend, Kevin Garin.
"Dee Dee" was born July 7, 1960, to Clarence and Nancy (Aten) Fifield. She attended Jefferson High School and then worked at Sammy's Lounge and Geaters Log Cabin.
She loved all animals and canned vegetables every year.
Her family thanks Hospice of Mercy for making her life easier when she was with us.
