DOLORAS "DEE" JUNE ANDERSON

Doloras "Dee" June Anderson, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at The Meth-Wick Community in Cedar Rapids. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jack. Per Dee's request, there will be no services or visitation. A private inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her two daughters,
Sue (Randy) Edwards of Indianola and Gail (Tom) Frasher of Cedar Rapids; a son, William (Pam) of Vinton; and four grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Trisha and Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Jack" Anderson, in 2016; and a grandson, Travis Anderson.
Dee was born July 15, 1930, in Rockford, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Cannova) Huntley. After high school graduation, Dee earned her nursing degree from the Cedar Rapids Mercy School of Nursing. She was employed at St. Luke's Hospital as a registered nurse. She married Raymond "Jack" Anderson on Sept. 10, 1953, in Anamosa.
She and Jack took many trips throughout the United States as well as all over the world, including Russia, Egypt and China. Dee enjoyed anything with crafts, but especially enjoyed painting. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her beloved family.
Dee's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center and The Meth-Wick Community for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Dee.
