Ruth M. Huedepohl, 87, of Brooklyn, Iowa, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at Brooklyn Community Estates. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, at St. James Lutheran Church in Victor with burial in the Victor Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the family prsent from 4 to 7 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Victor.
Memorials may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church or to the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella, and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 485, Victor, IA 52347.
She is survived by her husband, Don Huedepohl of Brooklyn; one daughter, Carolyn Huedepohl of Pella; one sister, Lorene (Alfred) Karsten of Marengo; three brothers, Duane (Bonnie) Werning of Shellsburg, Wilfred (Doris) Werning of Van Horne and Vernon (Tammy) Werning of Newhall; one brother-in-law, Richard (Esther) Huedepohl of Brooklyn; and three sisters-in-law, Kathy Werning of Vinton, Pat Werning of Cedar Rapids and Beverly Werning of Waterloo.
