William "Bill" C. Miller of Ely, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Per Bill's request, a private graveside service will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Chris Podhajsky of St. Wenceslaus of Cedar Rapids. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Bill was born Jan. 20, 1944, to Clarence and Anna (Kopecky) Miller in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joan Miller; children, Dean Miller of Ely, Michele Miller D.V.M. of California and Douglas (Erika) Miller of Tennessee; and several nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Anna; and brother, Ray Miller.
