Bernet, Margaret Irene Tuttle
Margaret Irene Tuttle Bernet, 104, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Lisbon, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in the Manor Care Health Services, Cedar Rapids. Services for Margaret will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon. The family will greet friends Saturday from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery.
Surviving Margaret are her children, Harold “Skip” of Anamosa and Helen (Ralph) Burge of Mechanicsville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Margaret in death were her husband, Ernest Henry Bernet; a son, Glenn; four sisters and a brother.
She was born June 27, 1908, in Wilton, the daughter of Thomas and Etta (Gaard) Tuttle. Margaret married Ernest on Dec. 4, 1929, in Wilton.
A memorial fund has been established.
