Leland Stanley Yoder was born April 28, 1933, in Iowa City, the son of Richard D. and Katie V. (Brenneman) Yoder. He attended Iowa City schools and the Iowa Mennonite School. At the early age of 10 or 11 Bud was working at the family business, Brenneman Seed Store. This became his second home, and their customers were like family to him. Throughout the years in the store, the business grew, they added the pet center, sold and serviced lawn mowers and so on, but through it all, Bud's philosophy in life was to take care of the customer, no matter what it took!
Bud had many interests and enjoyed many types of sports. He golfed, played slow-pitch softball, bowled in leagues for years, loved to watch the Indy races, and had attended the Rose Bowl following his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes. He was an avid baseball fan of the Chicago White Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals! He was also one of the proudest fathers, grandfathers and even great-grandfathers. His family was everything to him.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Bud's services and his family.
