Clarence C. Wright, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at his home. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Feel free to wear clothing attire related to the Cubs or the color purple, his favorite color.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, Jon (Mary) of Maple Grove, Minn., Mike (Donna) of Austin, Texas, and Jamie of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Kris Wright of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Bill (Rosie) of Schereville, Ind.; and six grandchildren, Thomas, Hannah, Mikala, Brandon, Rhianne and Samara.
Clarence was born June 10, 1932, in Joliet, Ill., the son of Clarence and Mary Lazar Wright. He married Barbara M. Hrusosky on June 30, 1956, in Joliet. Clarence worked for the United States Shoe Co. as a sales rep for many years and later was owner and operator of Art Mart Gallery.
Clarence was a faithful member of St. Pius Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling with Barb, the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame and especially the time spent with his beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation or American Cancer Society.
