Passage of Wisconsin bill ignored in Gazette
The Gazette Opinion Staff

The actions and reactions of the Wisconsin Legislature and governor and union protesters have been arguably the most important domestic news story this year, with particular implications for political actions in Iowa and several other Midwest states. For nearly a month, the developing stories of demonstrators and the fleeing of Wisconsin senators have made headlines and were dutifully reported in the national press, as well as The Gazette.
With the culmination of this important story with the vote enacting Gov. Scott Walker's plan on March 10, I looked for the story in the next day's issue. While your paper has well reported numerous stories regarding the actions of those opposed to this bill, the final result of this story - the passage of this watershed bill - was virtually ignored in the March 11 Gazette.
