Borkgren Jr., Willard 'Bill'
Willard (Bill) Borkgren Jr., 62, Anamosa died Sunday August 16, 2009 at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 10:30 Wednesday August 19, 2009 at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Rev. Rick Gail will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 6 today at the funeral Home. Internment will be at the Wilcox Cemetery in Viola.
Surviving are his children; Mike (Brandi) Borkgren of Marion, Billi Jo (Matt) Litzenberg of Cedar Rapids, Ranaye Borkgren of Tulsa, Okla. and Mischelle Tuttle of Cedar Rapids; 3 Sisters, Barbra (Norman) Seeley of Anamosa, Shirley (Jim) Holtke of Peoria, Ill and LeAndra (Mike) Strope of Marion; 2 brothers, Ron (Shirley) of Anamosa and Rob (Renee) of Robins; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill Borkgren Jr. was born December 17, 1946 in Geneseo, Ill. He was the son of Willard and Dorthea Grothusen Borkgren Sr. Bill graduated from the Anamosa High School. He served in the United States Army and worked as a Carpenter. Bill was a member of the Wapsipinicon Country Club in Anamosa, Bass Masters. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and Deer hunting.
