Bingham, Dale S.
Dale S. Bingham, 87, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following an extended illness. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 10 S. Gilbert St., Iowa City, with the Rev. Steven Protzman officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Wilcox Cemetery near Viola, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Unitarian Universalist Society or the University of Iowa Foundation for Pulmonary Rehab at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dale is survived by his wife, Celia; their daughter, Stephanie Zoe (Paul) Bernhagen of Las Cruces, N.M., and their son, Dirk L. Bingham and Carole Brown of Riverside; two grandchildren, Melissa and Kyle Bingham; and his sister, Joyce Hudgens of Urbandale.
