Ferne I. Cline, 95, of Brooklyn, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, with Father Brian Shepley officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation: 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established.
Ferne is survived by her children, Patricia Miles (Dennis) of Atkins, Larry Cline of Brooklyn, George Cline (Jane) of Brooklyn and Brenda Cline (Scott Johnson) of Grinnell; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Glenn Smith (Joanne) of Waukee, and a sister, Arlene Wilcox (Wayne) of Tama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Stella Mochal Smith; her husband, Francis; a daughter, Elizabeth Rhinehart; and a sister, Ruth Cline.
