Wilcox, Loretta J.
Loretta J. Wilcox, 83, a resident of Garnett Place in Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 20, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. Per Loretta's wishes, there will be no services. Inurnment will be in Michigan at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her children, Gini (Kirk) Hayes of Central City, Marck (Melody) Wilcox of Vinton and Duane (Ann) Wilcox of Toddville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Stolba of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Grace Herbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Barbara Wilcox; and five siblings.
Loretta was born March 14, 1928, the daughter of William and Agatha (Lynott) Herbert in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from McKinley School in Cedar Rapids. Loretta married Ray A. Wilcox on Sept. 20, 1951. He died Oct. 17, 2008. She worked at Rockwell Collins until her retirement in 1985.
