Cedar Rapids RoughRiders/USHL schedules released

The United States Hockey League unveiled its 2013-14 regular-season schedule Monday. Each team will play 60 games, as opposed to 64 last season.

Friday, September 20 is opening night for the league, though the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders do not play their first game until Friday, September 27 at Lincoln. The club has its home opener the final night against the Sioux Falls Stampede.

Conference alignment remains the same as last season. Cedar Rapids is in the Eastern Conference with Chicago, Dubuque, Green Bay, Indiana, Muskegon, Team USA and Youngstown.

The Western Conference will consist of Des Moines, Fargo, Lincoln, Omaha, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, Tri-City and Waterloo.

The top four teams, points-wise, in each conference qualify for the USHL playoffs, with each postseason series being a best-of-5.
