Aucutt, David Irvin
David Irvin Aucutt, 77, of 310 Fifth Avenue SE, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. A Gathering of Remembrance: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the American Legion Hanford Post 5.
David is survived by two daughters, Deborah Wells and Dawn (Roger) O'Brien-Munise, both of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Cara, Brittany, Megan, and Chad; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Schillig of Burlingame, Calif.; Paul “Tony” of Cedar Rapids and Donald of Louisville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, William, and Leon; a son-in-law, Derald O'Brien; and his ex-wife, LaVae Light.
David was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Cedar Rapids the son of Irvin and Leona Murphy Aucutt. He was a sheet metal worker and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
