TRACY DAWN PARRY
Cedar Rapids
Tracy Dawn Parry, 43, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House. A gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Celebration of Life services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Brosh Chapel with Pastor Darin Ulmer presiding.
Tracy was born July 2, 1975, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Dennis and Judy (Simon) Parry. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School, Class of 1993. Tracy attended classes at the University of Hawaii and Jacksonville Community College. Tracy spent the majority of her adult life working in several facets of the beauty industry in the sales field including fashion, beauty products and cosmetology. Tracy was a phenomenal cook and had dreams of someday opening her own restaurant or catering business.
Tracy was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and amazing friend. Her son Brenden was the absolute light of her life and the driving force behind her desire to fight her disease as long as she possibly could. They had a bond that was beyond measure.
Tracy's life motto changed over the past few years to "I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time." She was always the life of the party and ready to celebrate and socialize with friends. She was a devout Hawkeyes fan and loved football Saturdays with her son and friends. Tracy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her firecracker spirit and personality live on through her son and those who knew and loved her most.
Special thanks to all at the Oldorf Hospice House. Your care for Tracy was truly filled with compassion and love.
Tracy is survived by her son, Brenden Michael Flack; her parents, Dennis and Judy Parry; her siblings, Jason (Jessica) Parry and Jennifer Parry (Tomory) Dodge; and her beloved nephews, Matthew Cory Parry and David Oliver Dodge.
Memorials may be directed to her son, Brenden Flack.
