Section of Edgewood Road SW closing for water main repairs today
Starting at 8:30 a.m. today, the northbound lanes of Edgewood Road SW between Culver's Frozen Custard and Wilson Avenue will be closed for water main break repairs.
The repairs will take approximately four days to complete, city officials said.
The line broke last Tuesday morning, closing Edgewood Road for a few hours, but officials were able to temporarily reroute water for area businesses. This week's repair will fix the problem more permanently.
Traffic should seek alternate routes using 29th Avenue SW: left on 29th Avenue to Wiley Boulevard to Williams Boulevard or right on 29th Avenue, left on 27th Street to Wilson Avenue, or at 33rd Avenue SW turn left, then right on Wiley to Williams Boulevard.
