Margaret Mary Preziosi, 89, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died peacefully on Oct. 20, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of Frederick William Preziosi; loving mother of Anne Marie Preziosi of Des
Moines and Professor Richard Francis Preziosi of Manchester, England; devoted grandmother of Rachel and Katie; and beloved sister of Dr. Keith Borden of Toronto.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Urbandale, with the Rev. John Harmon officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Rd., Des Moines, where a vigil service will begin at 5 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday at the church. Margaret will be laid to rest at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery in Montreal, Canada.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Ernest Borden and Alice Greenfield; her husband, Frederick; and her sister, Joyce Reed.
Born in Montreal, Margaret graduated from Sir George Williams University and worked as secretary for the Montreal Board of Trade before moving to Toronto, and then Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1961.
She was a member of the Mercy Associates of the Sisters of Mercy and All Saints Parish in Cedar Rapids from 1996 to 2013, when she became a member of St. Pius.
She will be dearly missed by all of us.
