Do, Dan Huu
Dan Huu Do, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 8, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, by Fathers Ivan Nienhaus and Dustin Vu. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West serving the family.
Dan is survived by his wife, Son Nguyen; and six children, including Johnny Do and his family of Waterloo and a son-in-law, Matthew Jengwa and his two daughters of Cedar Rapids.
Dan was born Aug. 4, 1939, in Saigon, South Vietnam and came to Cedar Rapids from South Vietnam in December 1995. He had been employed at the Five Seasons Hotel until 2000, when he retired early due to a disability. Dan was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
