Nguyen, Lan
Lan Nguyen, 100, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with additional visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Visitation will also be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 4, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Nghi Pham, Thom Pham, Thao Pham and Thanh Pham; son-in-law, Chien Nguyen; daughter-in-law, Tuyet Pham; grandchildren, Hugh, Lisa, Tina, Kathy, Cindy, Ngoc and Xuan; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kendall, Jimmy, Benjamin, Tony, Julia, Elaine and Michael; stepdaughter, Linda Beaman; and Pat and Sandy Murphy, who helped support her during hard times.
Lan was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Vietnam, daughter of Pham and Nguyen (La) Pham. She married Hieu Pham, he died in 1968. Lan enjoyed gardening, her grandchildren, praying, cooking, being sociable and playing slot machines.
